I’m Alena Shevchenko — writer, director, professional overthinker, and part-time comedian (mostly unintentionally). I make films, commercials, and music videos that try to make people feel something — whether it’s joy, nostalgia, or just a strong urge to text their ex.

I love mixing fashion, dance, and comedy in my work, because beauty gets interesting when it starts to laugh.

My stories are told through characters who are a little messy, a little funny, and very real.

I’ve worked with brands like Bumble, Philips, Womanizer, Nike, Adidas, L’Oréal, Samsung, LG, Schwarzkopf, and Honor.

My films have been shown at BAFTA- and Oscar-qualifying festivals and featured on Nowness — which sounds glamorous, but really just means I’m still figuring it out, only with better laurels.
